You know when you meet someone and there’s an instant spark? That’s how we felt when we met Sharon Kazan Harris, owner and winemaker of Rarecat Wines in Napa Valley. Sharon is a natural storyteller; when she shared the origins of the name and the striking coin medallion on her wine labels, we were completely captivated.
Rarecat, Sharon explained, refers to a woman of such beauty, strength, and individuality that she is truly a rarity. The medallion on her wine labels features a powerful lion from an ancient Carthaginian coin — a nod to Queen Dido, the legendary founder of Carthage and an original “rarecat” in every sense.
This pendant is that medallion — meticulously and artfully realized in tactile, precious gold and silver — a tribute to the beauty and power of women, through the ages.

We make these to order. We place orders for these pendants with our wonderful bench once per month on the 2d. Allow a lead time of 5 to 6 weeks from the 2d of each month. All gold is yellow gold unless otherwise specified. Please inquire about engraving options.

● 32.5 mm long (including bail)/25 mm long (not including bail) x 23.5 mm wide x 3.3.mm deep (note that the hollow version is very slightly larger).
● Silver: 10 grams; Silver with 18k Gold Bail: 10 grams; Silver with 18k Gold Bail and Bezel: 11.5 grams; 18k gold (hollow): 9.2 grams; 18k gold (solid): 15.5 grams.

Note that the gold “hollow” option means that there is a space in the interior of the pendant, but it is made of solid gold — sturdy and quite weighty.
