Sentimental, Thoughtful.

We are delighted to offer a charming pair of gemstone pansies. The pansy takes its name from the French pensée, meaning “thought.” In Georgian and Victorian times—when flowers carried coded messages—pansies symbolized thoughts of love and affection.

These examples are classic late Georgian, each set with a harmonious mix of amethyst, citrine, and garnet petals surrounding turquoise centers. The palette is soft and romantic, yet distinctive and visually striking for its color combination.

We found these pansies as earrings, fitted with later wires, and immediately saw their potential as pendants. Reimagined this way, they lend themselves beautifully to everyday wear and to layering within a personal, storytelling stack of talismans. As in the past, a pansy such as this makes a meaningful gift—an intimate expression of affection and remembrance.

The chains shown are not included. These pendants are sold individually. *First buyer may specify preferred pendant, if desired (please contact us before placing order).

Unmarked.

14k gold, amethyst, citrine, garnet, turquoise.

Dimensions and weight:

● 15.5 mm long (not including loop) / 21.2 mm long (including loop)

● 15 mm wide

● 4.5 mm deep

● 2 grams each

Period: Late Georgian (pansies)/Contemporary (loops)

*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present. The citrine petals are open-backed, while the remaining gemstone petals are closed-backed. This may reflect the original construction, or the backs may have been discreetly and skillfully opened at a later date to allow additional light to pass through the gemstones.
