Antique Early Art Deco Curb Watch Chain, with Detachable Extender/Dropper Chain

Antique Early Art Deco Curb Watch Chain, with Detachable Extender/Dropper Chain
Classic, Versatile.
This watch chain was once worn by a man, to secure his pocket watch. Dating to 1921 (we know this from the two plaques on the chain and extender) — this is from a time when wrist watches would soon render pocket watches (and their chains) obsolete. How incredible that this chain survived more than 100 years.
We love watch chains for their versatility and the low-key elegance of those curb links. Add charms to the clasps. use the removable dropper chain — with its spring ring and curvy T bar — as an extender for this or another chain — or wear it as a pendant for that distinctive watch chain aesthetic.
The links have that lovely, “soft” velvety look and feel of old gold. Layer abundantly or wear it solo. This is a chain worthy of jewelry MVP status!
Pendants/charms shown are not included.
Marked 14k on the clasps, along with maker’s name and the year 1921 on the two plaques.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 22.5 inches long on the main chain; 2.6 inches long on the dropper/extender chain
● 3.5 mm wide
● 1.7 mm deep
● 29 grams
Period: Art Deco
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age commensurate wear may be present. We added the antique, period appropriate spring rings clasps to replace the worn originals. These are ever so very slightly rosier in hue than the yellow gold of the chain (mentioned only for completeness).
*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.
