A cluster of 9 old cut diamonds (7 old mine cuts, 2 rose cuts) set open backed in silver cut down collets form the central motif in this early Victorian ring. Unlike many other clusters, this one features open space as part of its elegant design. The shank also features openwork, with two small diamonds set on the shoulders, which still show traces of black enamel.
