(SOLD) Antique Art Nouveau "Night and Day" Gold Signet Ring

$1,850.00

Night and Day.

A smooth oval tablet of gold tops a classic signet ring, circa 1905 — but the stars are the sculptural shoulders, depicting the goddesses Night and Day on each side. Day is shown with her profile upturned, as if looking toward the sun. Night is shown in repose, with her eyes closed. The classic Art Nouveau whiplash lines are expressed as part of the goddesses’ long tresses.

We love this ring as it is — with the plaque smooth and uninscribed — but of course, it is ready for a personal monogram or other engraving.

We think this ring is a beautiful reminder that a sunrise awaits us each new day.

Marked 14k; inscribed 1905 inside shank.

14k gold (yellow gold, with a touch of rosiness).

Dimensions and weight:

● 13.9 mm wide tapering to 2.9 mm wide

● 3 mm deep at deepest point

● 8.6 grams

● US ring size 7 (resizeable)

Period: Art Nouveau

*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present.

*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.
