Very fine example of the French slide locket, circa 1905. The double-sided design of this one is especially pleasing, with a combination of sinuous and geometric elements. Meticulous attention has been paid to every detail, including the decorative shoulders to the bail. The locket slides open to reveal two mirrors in excellent condition. This is a striking, bold slide locket, larger than the usual, with a wonderful soft antique patina. It would look marvelous on a long French silver sautoir.
