Armored, Articulated.
We spotted this piece immediately — a standout among a display of gold. A horse pendant, yes, but not one we had ever seen: large in scale, fully three-dimensional, clad in armor. And then the discovery: its head, neck, legs, and tail are all articulated. The horse is shown poised in mid-step — as if captured in procession. The armor is engraved with fleurs-de-lis, lions, and eagles — heraldic emblems of lineage, distinction, and power.
But the real marvel is the workmanship. This is the work of Gaëtan de Percin, the Paris atelier founded in 1938 and known for executing jewels for Hermès, Fred, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, and other grand maisons. Here, a skilled Percin artisan has meticulously hand-pinned and constructed each joint for articulation — metal engineered to move, much like armor itself.
A piece for the collector who seeks the singular — uncommon, unmistakable, entirely one’s own.
Marked with French eagle’s head and maker’s mark of Gaëtan de Percin.
