Antique Edwardian Diamond and Pearl Double-Faced Swivel Locket
Ethereal, Romantic.
A large Belle Epoque locket, circa 1900-10, is crafted of platinum-topped gold, set with single- and rose-cut diamonds and pearls. Ingeniously, the double-sided glass fronted locket is set upon an axis — allowing it to swivel. You choose which side to present to the outside world, and which to keep unseen, close to your heart.
The locket contained two inserts of black velvet when we found it (as shown in the photos). Since then, we have replaced the velvet with navy blue paper — which of course may be replaced with your own personal mementos. (We will include the velvet with delivery).
We love the stately size of the locket, tempered by the delicacy of the stylized garland.
