Antique Belle Époque French Diamond Bandeau Bangle with Fleur-de-Lis Flourishes
Additional photos coming soon. Please contact us if required sooner.
Flourish, Elegance.
Graceful and finely proportioned, this elegant French bangle centers on a diamond-set bandeau framed by delicate fleur-de-lis flourishes. Together, the gently arched silhouette and scrolling details call to mind a Belle Époque tiara, while its airy appearance is counterbalanced by a reassuring weight in the hand.
Gently shimmering antique rose-cut diamonds surround a central old mine-cut diamond of approximately 0.55 ct, all set in softly patinated silver over rich yellow gold with the subtle rosy hue so often seen in antique French gold. The effect is refined and unmistakably of its period, yet remarkably easy to wear today, whether on its own or layered with other period bangles.
Marked with French eagle’s head, French boar’s head, maker’s mark, and a number that may represent a serial or inventory mark.
Hinged, with a figure-eight safety latch.
18k gold, silver, diamond.
Dimensions and weight:
● 57.5 mm x 49.5 mm inside diameters; approximately 6 5/8 inches inside circumference
● 19.5 mm (center) tapering to 5.2 mm wide (back)
● 8 mm deep at the deepest point
● 2.0 ctw diamond
● 21.4 grams
Period: Belle Époque
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present. Under the closest inspection with 10x magnification, we noted what appears to be a very faint hairline on the narrowest side of the bangle near the hinge, mentioned for completeness.
