An Art Nouveau/Jugendstil silver sautoir, circa 1900, is luxuriously long and weighty. The double-sided plaques are graced with a design of stylized gingko leaves, reflecting the influence of Japanese art and design on the West at the time. Add a period locket or pendant to either of the double clasps, or wear unadorned, letting this sautoir speak for itself. The antique silver has the wonderful velvety feel in the hand that only time can impart.
