(SOLD) Antique Edwardian Gold Double Curb, Double Albert Watch Chain (1910)

Commanding. Velvety.

An antique gentleman’s watch chain has become a modern-day jewelry wardrobe essential — and heavy, generously scaled examples in 14k gold, such as this, are increasingly scarce. Dating to 1910, it’s a true survivor.

This substantial chain has a satisfyingly weighty drape and an intricate link resembling two curb links knit together. Run your fingers along each side to appreciate its dimension — and that unmistakable velvety feel and soft patina that only time can impart.

All the “bells and whistles” are here: a curved T-bar, two spring rings, and one dog clip — giving you endless versatility. We love to stack these antique watch chains and clip on favorite pendants and charms. The antique yellow gold, kissed with the faintest blush of rose, harmonizes beautifully with both modern yellow and rose golds.

Other chains and pendants shown are not included. They are available in the shop.

Marked 14k, 1910, with a maker’s mark on both the chain and the T-bar. The chain is 14k gold throughout, while the dog clip — a well-matched period replacement — tests slightly lower, at approximately 10k. (We appreciate the history of loving wear and care it brings to the piece, and have kept it exactly as found, with the price adjusted accordingly).

Dimensions and weight:

●       21 inches/53 cm long (primary chain, including end clasps)

●       5.5 mm wide

●       3.2 mm deep

●       41.6 grams

Period: Edwardian

*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present.

*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.
