The elusive Victorian snake link long guard chain has been found. This one is a glorious full length guard chain with a modeled hand clasp holding a screw-type hinged dog clip, which can accommodate a favorite locket or pendant (a tassel pendant would look great). The chain is slinky, supple, and smooth to the touch. It drapes beautifully. The cherry on top? The ornate slide embellished with black, blue, and white enameled foliate details. Circa 1865.

Wear this sought after, rarely found, chain long or looped, with or without pendants. The slide is functional, creating extra versatility for different looks.

Note that there is minor loss to enamel commensurate with age, not readily discernible; overall in lovely antique condition.
