French Victorian, circa 1870, in the style of the bygone era of Louis XVI. The details are superbly rendered with the expert application of texture and rose and green golds — extending even to the bail — with a wonderful, substantial feel in the hand. This beautiful sentimental locket is double-sided, so it can be worn opening to the left or to the right.
