We love functional jewelry!

And this purse pendant (circa 1900) is a beauty — its body formed by fine, silky, gold chain mail comprised of thousands of tiny interconnected hand made gold loops. The frame is oh-so-French — pierced scrolling gold work, emphasized by twinkling diamonds. We particularly appreciate that there is an interior framed divider (also of gold chain mail) creating two compartments, adding to the luxuriously weighty feel (and functionality) of the pendant. A loop on the back invites the addition of a chain to sling this pendant long and low.

What would you keep in this purse? We would stow our foiled Georgian rings in here — the ones we remove for hand washing, and pray we do not one day leave behind in a restaurant restroom. A gold pocket. How chic is that! Or perhaps this can be the ultimate presentation bag for a very jewelry gift!
