(SOLD) Antique Victorian Streamlined Gold Hinged Bangle
Bold, Enduring.
If you know us, you know we search for the time travelers—the antique pieces that feel entirely at home in the present. This substantial Victorian bangle is one of those: bold, definitively antique, yet nearly minimalist. A wide, continuous, architectural band for the wrist, with the rich color and soft patina of the gold—and discreet hand-incised detailing at the edges—as its only adornment.
On the inside, known only to you, is an inscription from 150 years ago: “To Layne Love K 31/7/76.” This circlet of gold was once given and worn with love. We will never know the full story, but these traces of past lives and sentiment are exactly what we treasure most in antique jewelry.
Wear it as a one-and-done statement or pair it with a counterpoint on the opposite wrist. The possibilities are many, but the result is always singular: chic.
Shown on a 5 5/8 inch wrist with a close, tailored fit. Safety chain present. Bangle snaps shut securely.
Unmarked. Interior inscription as described above.
14k gold.
Dimensions and weight:
● 53.9 mm x 44.1 mm inside diameters; approximately 6 inches inside circumference (slightly larger)
● 23.6 mm wide
● 2.5 mm deep
● 27.3 grams
Period: Victorian
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present. There are a few minor shallow surface impressions and wear consistent with age, not affecting the beauty or desirability of this piece.
*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.
