Antique Portuguese Diamond Cluster Ring with Fleur-de-Lis Shoulders

Antique Portuguese Diamond Cluster Ring with Fleur-de-Lis Shoulders
Elegant, Old-World.
Such a pretty antique diamond cluster ring — a flattering elongated shape with gentle sparkle and time-earned patina. Floral elements frame a classic central diamond halo, forming a lacy navette, accented by stylized, scrolling, fleur-de-lis details at the shoulders. As is typical of the era, the diamonds are set in silver over gold. The overall effect is romantic and softly luminous, with an elegant presence on the hand.
Found in Lisbon, this ring became our companion for museum visits and long days of exploring the city. It is supremely comfortable thanks to its low profile, gently contoured interior, and open-backed construction.
Full hallmarks confirm a Lisbon origin, dating the ring to between 1887 and 1937 (we think it dates to the the earlier end). Most charmingly, the construction and style are distinctively Portuguese — the kind of ring we would recognize immediately, even had we found it elsewhere. We love that!
Marked with Portuguese gold and silver marks for Lisbon used from 1887 to 1937 and maker’s mark.
19.2k gold, silver, diamond.
Dimensions and weight:
● 25.7 mm long x 17.3 mm wide x 4.8 mm deep on the plaque
● 6 grams
● US size 8
Period: Late Victorian/Edwardian
*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear is present, as expected for a ring of this period. Under close inspection, a small fissure is visible within the scrolling detail at each fleur-de-lis shoulder (see photograph). One of these areas shows evidence of earlier professional stabilization on the underside. The ring remains stable and suitable for regular wear. Additional photographs or videos are available upon request.
