(SOLD) Early 19th Century French Multi-color Gold and Platinum Fob Pendant

$0.00
Sold

Such a pretty and striking fob pendant, circa 1820s, crafted in that antique yellow gold with undertones of rosiness. We love the multicolor applied floral ornamentation in green gold and rare, early platinum. We especially adore that larger, platinum daisy!

The fob is three-dimensional, fully embellished all around, with an un-engraved lapis tablet at the bottom. We may be fanciful, but we think the shape is reminiscent of a basket!

We think this would look marvelous with a Georgian era chain or a French chain.

Marked with French owl mark (partial); we do believe this to be of French origin, with the owl stamped later.

Chain shown is not included.

18k gold, platinum, lapis.

Dimensions and weight:

●  30.7 mm long

●  21.1 mm diameter

●  12.4 grams

Period: Georgian/Regency

*For deliveries outside of the continental U.S., please contact us for shipping information.

*Please note that all dimensions and weights are approximate. Age-commensurate wear may be present. One petal of one flower is deficient (see last photo); old reinforcement at the base of the bail on the inside,; neither is readily discernible. Bail is original, but skillfully and harmoniously modified.
