Everyone should have a mid-length antique chain in their jewelry wardrobe. They look marvelous with or without hanging pendants and can be the perfect frame for a shorter chain and pendant.
Here, we have a wonderful half-length sautoir of marquise-shaped plaques with scrolled gold detailing. So useful, with nothing utilitarian about it, with that rich golden hue and the fancy links.
The clasp secures with a screw mechanism, which allows the hook to hinge open and closed. The chain is beautiful enough to wear solo — but equally as suited to suspend a treasured locket or pendant.
