This is a beautiful French regional cross in two sections, crafted of gold studded with dark, glinty rose cut diamonds. A cross is suspended from a a swirling foliate top.

Two flat loops on the reverse accommodate a ribbon or chain.

An example of this type of jewel can be seen at page 153 of "Georgian Jewellery" by Ginny Redington Dawes and Olivia Collings.
